Privacy and Cookies

I am Joanne Briggs trading as Joanne Briggs Independent Celebrant.

By nature of my work, I may process ‘personal data’ and/or ‘special category data’ as defined in UK Data Protection legislation. This processing may be on my own behalf or on behalf of my clients but either way, I process data as part of the contracted services and/or my administration.

I wholly appreciate the importance of confidentiality.

Data may be processed on paper and/or in electronic formats. When processed electronically, data may be held on a cloud based system and/or a local server.

Regardless of how data are processed, all feasible security measures are in place. 

Data is held as long as is relevant for the purpose for collection and/or if there is a statutory retention period.

All data is destroyed by secure means when no longer required.

Data may be shared with third parties as part of my contracted services and/or if I am required by law to do so. I cannot accept any liability for any processing conducted by a third party outside of my remit.

As part of my compliance, I have conducted a cookie audit on my website. Cookies are internet files used by the system to view websites and their contents.

None of the above affects your rights under the legislation, in particular your right to access the data I hold on you. If you wish to request a copy of your data, please submit in a written message to me.
